Members of the Shores team, with the support of University of Aveiro colleague Jorge Castro Ribeiro, visited the saltpans in Aveiro for an afternoon of soundwalks. After collecting many sounds and sightings, they engaged in collaborative work to develop short demos that associated the collected contents and performative strategies. For many, it was their first contact with this context that intersects sea and land, in the lagoons that have been a traditional location for salt extraction and the livelihood of Aveiro’s inhabitants.
